There are 5 short steps to owning your own house in Saltown

 

1.        Initial visit

You are invited to visit the show house and inspect both the estate and the house to confirm the quality of the build and the value for money. You can take the opportunity to ask the sales team any questions you may have on any aspect of the development or the purchase process.

 

2.        Reservation

If you wish to confirm your wish to buy a Saltown Home, complete a Reservation Form and pay a fully refundable booking deposit of €2,000. On receipt of the booking deposit contracts will be issued to your solicitor for signing

 

3.        Financing

You can visit either of the professional mortgage brokers and arrange a mortgage through them. They will determine which bank or building society’s product best fits your requirements and ask that you complete the relevant application forms. They will receive indicative notification of mortgage approval within approximately 2 days. Alternatively you can arrange your own mortgage.

 

4.        Legal

You can arrange for Dermot Lavery and Associates to act on your behalf to check that the legal paperwork associated with purchasing a house is complete. Alternatively you can arrange your own solicitor.

 

5.        Practical Completion, Snagging and Handover

When the house is ready to be handed over the house builder will issue a Practical Completion Notice. On receipt of this Notice the house is ready to be “snagged” i.e. to confirm that the specification set out in the contract have been delivered and to identify potential defects that the purchaser wishes to have corrected. On satisfactory completion of “snagging” the legal documents can be completed and the house handed over.
